NEW AGENT CHECKLIST

PLUG IN 

 

GET CONTRACTED

  • Step #1. Use THIS LINK to create a new profile in SuranceBay(SureLC).

    • This is your contracting hub- use this Producer Overview to help you walk through the process. Complete your agent profile and electronic signature (HERE is a helpful guide for completing signatures)

  • Step #2Complete the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Course.

    • If you are an experienced agent, please go through LIMRA using these directions.

    • If you are a newly licensed agent, please use the Free SuranceBay course using these directions.

  • Step #3. The profile will ask you to upload E&O insurance, the carriers require this coverage. We recommend using  & selecting the 2nd option to obtain coverage. NAPA is our preferred provider however you can use any provider of your choice.

  • Step #4. After your profile is complete, request appointments for all of the carriers listed. The instructions to do so can be found HERE.

    • You will know you have successfully requested a carrier when the request you just submitted is in the AT BGA tab on the Contracting Requests page.

  • Step #5. If you want someone to check on your profile for you and make sure everything is complete, please send your contracting administrator your login information (this is HIGHLY recommended so that we catch errors quickly).

  • Complete Additional Contracts: In the next 48 hours you will receive a few additional contracting links. Please complete these carrier requests as soon as you get them. Please let your contracting manager know if you do not receive any links after those 48 hours.

TRAINING & CONTRACTS

  • Go to  to complete bootcamp training as soon as your SuranceBay contracting is complete. This course is designed to be 5-7 days of training to complete while you are waiting for your agent numbers to be processed.

  • Check In On Your Contracting: It's imperative that you get your agent numbers with our most-used carriers: Americo, Mutual of Omaha, American Amicable, John Hancock, and AIG. Be sure that you've requested them correctly(it should say "Delivered to" or "At BGA" once they're requested) and that you are calling every few days to check the progress on them. Below is the contact information for each carrier:

PURCHASE LEADS

  • ​Register for the Family First Life Website/CRM: you will receive an email shortly with directions to set up your profile. Reach back out to your contracting manager if you did not receive this link.

  • Review Lead Types/Vendors we partner with on our lead page Develop a lead strategy based on your goals and knowledge from bootcamp training.

  • Schedule a Lead Strategy Meeting with your upline BEFORE purchasing leads.

PREPARE TO RUN APPOINTMENTS

  • Print Financial Inventory & Credibility sheets (one for every appointment)

  • Become familiar with each carrier’s E-App- create and log into your accounts 48 hours before you plan to run appointments. Complete practice e-apps.
